What Do You Want, God?

"

Have you stopped and thought lately about what the Lord requires of us? I thought about that. Am I doing the work of the Lord Jesus Christ? Am I serving the Lord as he requires me to serve Him? Do I even know what He requires? Do you?
I went back to his word to find out and make sure that at the end of the day, my answer to these questions will be pleasing to the Lord.

As we look at a world faced with
violence and crime. As we are faced with
plagues, fear and frustration. As we
hear the cry of a parent for the return
of a child, do you find yourself wondering
what God requires of you in this moment?
May we have the presence of God in our lives.
When we walk with the Lord, in the light
of His Word, what a glory the Lord brings on our way!

Lord, may our families be sold out to you. May we
be change agents. May we be the ones that are
found crying out to you, Lord. May we be the ones
who would live by the Word of God. Lord Jesus,
may you forever find us proclaiming Your name.
Always praying. May we do justice.
May we love.

May kindness encompass the way we
act and the way we speak. Lord,
may we walk humbly with you.
May our hearts be pure, Lord as we
humble ourselves before you and
allow you to search out our
sinful attitudes and actions.
Then can we fully pursue your ways.

May we put aside self and walk
whole-heartedly with God so that we can
see change in our families.
Change in our land.
Change in our world.
May our hearts not be hardened and our
minds not judge others.
Lord, help us! Lord!
What do you require of us?

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
